Meet Giancarlo
Giancarlo Trotti is a musician for music lovers. He is a passionate musician, who enjoys performing, and has an eclectic and exciting set list. As a freelance saxophonist based in the DC and DMV area, he revels in sharing his skills with audiences throughout the DC area as well as teaching music to others.
Giancarlo is somewhat of a child prodigy and is accomplished on several other instruments, though the saxophone is his true love! As a solo musician, he has a number of standing gigs as well as individual performances at events for corporations and individuals. With his versatile style, Giancarlo has performed at events such as engagements and weddings, birthday parties, opening shows at art galleries, and corporate seminars. Additionally, in 2023, he regularly cohosted and performed in open mic nights at the former Tight Five Pub in Adams Morgan, DC.
In 2024, Giancarlo performed with the prestigious wedding band known as the Original Moonlighters. Over the last nine years, Giancarlo has performed in a multitude of ensembles including the American University (AU) Jazz Orchestra, the AU Saxophone Quartet, the AU Chi Alpha Campus Ministries Band, the AU Symphonic Band, the NYC All City Marching Band, and the prestigious NYC All City Jazz Band.
